Stone House Idol and 5 Garth Songs

Posted on

April 9th is going to be a fun time at our Jim Shorkey Uniontown campus.  We will be the host to the Stonehouse Idol Finals!  For weeks, locals and travelers come to the Stone House Inn on National Pike Farmington to sing some of the best Karaoke this region has to offer.  A winner is crowned each week and has a chance to sing in our Mitsubishi Uniontown showroom.  After belting out their last song of the completion they have a chance to win $1000 dollars from us!  A previous winner even signed a record contract after Stone House idol.  So you never know if the next big thing will start their rise here!  One thing we have noticed from Previous Idol completion is the love of singing Garth Brooks tunes.  Here are 5 Garth tunes that we think will awe the judges and might be the partner to a Stone House Idol winner.

Spring is in the air and its time now to start thinking about road trips. America is amazing because you can see some off the coolest things just by jumping into your car and going.  We here at Jim Shorkey Uniontown Kia believe that the brand new Kia Optima Hybrid would be the perfect vehicle for the road trip.  It offers an Uvo entertainment center, spacious room in front and back seats as well giving you loads of trunk space.  But the real glaring attribute that makes the brand new 2016 optima hybrid shine is its ability to save you gas.  Now I know that gas is lower than previous years, but it’s amazing to save money and with the hybrid engine.  The Optima Hybrid is estimated to give you 40 mpg on highway(which your road trip will mostly consist of) and with an 18.5 gallon tank this means that you on average can drive 740 miles before heading to a pump.  With this many miles think about all the cool cities you could go to with just one tank of gas in the Kia Optima Hybrid.

New York

Jim Shorkey, New York,

The big apple is only 366 miles from our North Huntingdon Location.  There are so many things to do in New York from shopping to seeing a Broadway show.  New York is the city that never sleeps just like the Kia optima is the car that rarely uses gas.

Chicago

Driving to the Midway is only 483 miles.  Chicago is the third most populated city in the United States.  With all these people there is a wide variety of events for almost anybody.  Like Baseball?  You can visit Wrigley field.  If you need a change of pace in the city you can just chill out near Lake Michigan.

Atlanta

Its hard to believe that you can drive all the way to Atlanta Georgia on one tank of gas (677).  Actually, the optima can do this with atleast a gallon to share.  Atlanta offers variety from they own Hollywood called (Atlwood) and a wide variety of gourmet food options.

Ocean City Maryland

Want to chill out with the breeze and the waves.  Ocean City Maryland is 354 Miles from us.  With the Optima Hybrid you have Kia’s high tech Uvo on board.  This will come in handy when you are trying to find places to eat and park near the beach.

Washington DC

If you are a history buff then Dc is the place for you!  You can see epic monuments like Lincoln or Washington and visit the Smithsonian.   You can go on tours to learn more about civics and visit the White House.
